The Under 11s beat a battling Northwich Vics side to claim their place in the Mid Cheshire District FA Cup Final.

After a number of opportunities for both teams in what was a tight match, well fought by both sides, Tom A put the ball into the bottom left hand corner of the home side's net with only six or seven minutes to go.

The Vics tried hard to equalise, but the Witton defence held firm, including some great saves from 'keeper Nathan H. It was not all Witton backs to the wall though as the attack aimed to put the reuslt beyond reach.

A fine team performance meant that Team Manager Mark Farrell had four or five on his shortlist from which he chose midfielder Ben L as Man of the Match.

The Final, on Sunday 25th April, was already scheduled by The League to take place at the Witton Albion senior team's home ground of Wincham Park in Northwich, and provides an additional thrill for the Under 11 team players.

Their opposition in the Final is provided by Vale Juniors who managed to beat Egerton 2-1 in the other semi-final. This is lining up to be a thrilling match between two teams who have shown good form so far this season.

All Witton followers- for both junior and senior clubs - are welcome to come and support the Under11s. Further details will be made available nearer the fixture.
